Inhemska tips...

"The weather is great those days but seems we are going to have rain on Sunday. Minimum temperatures will be around 10 and max around 18. So is not exactly what we consider winter in Sweden... Just wear clothes that you will need in the morning and in the night but you can get rid of them at midday.

-The plugs used are the same that in Sweden.

-The taxis are pretty expensive, specially from the airport. You will pay around 40-50 euros. Because you go to the city center, I recommend to get the "Aerobus". Will leave you in Plaça Catalunya, just 10 minutes away from your hotel and costs 5 euros x person.

-In the middle of Plaça Catalunya but on the basement, there's a big tourism office where you can get a map of the city, etc...

-The city center is wonderful but is plenty of "pickpockets". Take extreme care on your bag, wallet, camera, etc.... when you walk around. Another cathegory of thiefts in the city center are some bars and restaurants. Normal price for a beer or a coffe is not 10 euros, but they use to charge this quantities to tourists!!

I recommend you:
-http://www.lesquinzenits.com ("the 15 nights") is just 2 minutes away from your hotel.
-http://www.ladolcaherminia.com (Sweet Herminia), from the same owners, but most quiet.
-"La fonda d'escudellers", Carrer Escudellers 10. Close to La Rambla

If you just want a sandwich, in Plaça Sant Jaume (just one minute away from your hotel), there's a fast food called "Bocatta", that is pretty good and in the same square there's one that I love called Conesa. They made the same Sandwiched since the 50's....

Heading up south from your hotel, at the end of La Rambla, by the sea, there's a modern mall called "Maremagnum". Is plenty of bars, shops and restaurants (all of them cheaps or affordables). You can have a beer there at night too.

Heading up north there's a street that starts after Plaça Catalunya called Passeig de Gracia where there are a lot of very expensive stores and also many bars and restauranrs. Some expensive but mostly afordabkle.

-All restaurants and shops accepts plastic money, but is not accepted in many bars or for small amounts like in Sweden. You must get some euros with you."

Jag har spanat in var närmaste cacher finns också, för åtminstone en spansk cache ska vi ha!
